Herb Garden Pesticide

Herb Garden Pesticide

I recently lost a couple of the herbs in my "Little Red Wagon" due to some pests. When I took a closer look at my herb garden I realized it was full of all different pests!  It was important to me to use a natural remedy so I tried Terrashield. I figured if the essential oil repellent blend was safe enough to use on my body, it would be safe for my herbs. I did a little online research and found many different complicated recipes and treatments before I threw in the towel. It has to be easier right?  It is. I simply mixed a 6oz spray bottle with water and 2 drops of Terrashield and emptied the container spraying over the leaves and all. I planned to give it a few days to determine if I had killed my garden and then I was going to give it another dose.  No need. My pests are gone and my "Little Red Wagon" lives!

I'll have to replace the herbs that didn't live through the infestation and I plan to do the same treatment at least once a month.

My natural pesticide recipe:
6oz spray bottle with water
2 drops repellent blend essential oil

As you can see, I have a small indoor herb garden.  Even for a larger outdoor garden you could experiment with the ratios and keep it cost effective. I got my bottle of Terrashield repellent blend from Doterra for only $9.50 to use as a deet free natural bugs spray. This stuff is amazing!

This is where I get mine:
